NOS World Industries Chris “Dune” Pastras One-off lot

ONCE AGAIN BACK IS THE INCREDIBLE! I’m sorry that I haven’t been posting for a minute but my Photoshop crapped the bed on my pc and I moved from Philly to Boston so shit’s been mad hectic and I haven’t had the chance. I saw some of boardhoarder‘s joints and was inspired to get to posting again! I’m going to start with this amazing World Industries Chris “Dune” Pastras 2-board lot. These are one-off decks made for riders that you probably won’t see anywhere else. These Dune Baby graphics are already some of the greatest/most iconic graphics ever, imagine having them like this! It’s time like this that I wish I was ballin’.

NOS Cease & Desist World/Blind/101 lot

Here’s a cool lot from alienware815. This is the entire remake of the “Thumbs Up” collection made by CEASE & DESIST plus their remake of Adam McNatt’s classic Charlie Manson/Peanuts graphic on 101. I don’t really care too much for remakes but it would be cool to have all of these.

Dune-World Industries Vintage T-shirt

I love all the old World Industries shirts that were released in the early 90’s. World always had a good sense of humor. They never took their graphics too seriously. tonytheskater This was part of the cease and desist series, World would spoof a bunch of pop culture art and then be threatened by legal action if they did not stop. 101 and Blind Skateboards were also under the World umbrella, and they also issued graphics spoofing Looney Tunes characters. For anyone interested in the story of World Industries check out the The Man Who Souled the World.

Super rare 1992 Stereo Jason Lee skateboard deck

Hey folks this one is going to be quick and actually I’m not going to say much because strubba-bubba has said it much better than I possibly could.

“Where to begin…This board has been hanging in Skateworks in Santa Cruz CA for nearly 20 years. It is not pictured on AoS, and most fellow collector friends of mine readily admit they have never seen one before. The guy I originally got it from told me about 10 years ago that Jason Lee has saved or acquired every board he ever had, but that this was the one he hasn’t been able to find. He asked if I would mind giving it back to him, and said that Jason was an acquaintance of his, and that he was gonna sell it to him and take me out to a steak and lobster dinner with the loot. I sent it back to my friend in LA, and for the most part, forgot about it. Around this time Jason’s acting career really started to take off, and my friend gave up trying to get a hold of him about it. Fast froward 7 years. I was attending the ASR tradeshow in San Diego in 2007. I ended up meeting up with my old friend at the show and he brought me this board, and said I could hang it back up in the store, or sell it on ebay and split the cash with him. At the end of the day, I was hanging at the beergarden, having a cold one with Lance Conklin. He saw the board and said he just saw Jason at the stereo booth, and that we should go have him sign it. We made our way over there, and there he was, surrounded by about 10 microphones, tv cameras, and photographers conducting an interview about the upcoming release of the Alvin and the chipmunks movie. As Lance and I were hanging back, he saw the board and stopped mid sentence, excused himself, and walked over and said “how do you have this board, this is the only board of mine I don’t have!” Then I asked if he would sign it, and he said “no, I want to buy it, I’ll give you a grand for it right now” I told him that I would ask my friend and let him know, but that I had also just sold a Dune canned monster for $2,200, so maybe $1500 might be more in the ball park. I told him to think about it, and gave him my friends #. i guess they talked about it and couldn’t come to terms on a price. Bottom line, my friend was so turned off by the negotiations he just gave it back to me and said “you can have it as long as you don’t sell it to him.” Well, I’ve had it sitting for a few more years, and now it is up for grabs”.
